For the rest of the summer season, Wednesday’s in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk will be celebrated in style with huge fireworks displays, and longer attraction opening times.
Great Yarmouth is famous as a hub in both Norfolk and Suffolk for entertainment. It welcomes around 4.5 million visitors to the East Coast every year, boasting everything from crazy golf and seaside horse and cart rides to casinos and entertainment arcades.
This summer, for the next six wednesdays will celebrate all that is Great Yarmouth by keeping all of the famous seaside attractions open longer, until 10pm. Visitors will be able to soak in the seaside fun well past the sun going down and enjoy the Pleasure Beach, Bars and Golf under a haze of colourful lights. This will then be topped off with a spectacular display of fireworks to end, what are surely going to be, some of the best days in Great Yarmouth’s summer calendar.
Ken Sims, Chairman of the GYTA told the Great Yarmouth Mercury: “Wednesday evenings are a relaxed, fun-packed, family event in our popular seaside resort, with plenty for everyone to see and do until the evening’s finale with a superb fireworks display over Central Beach, funded by the Greater Yarmouth Tourist Authority.”
