Great Yarmouth’s Jester’s Cafe has come under fire from obesity groups thanks to its mammoth Kidz Breakfast, so called for being the same weight (9lb) as a small child.
Diner owner Martin Smith has insisted that the breakfast is just “a bit of fun,” and has noted that competitive eaters from all over the world had contacted him expressing their desire to take the “ultimate breakfast” challenge.
The meal consists of 12 rashers of bacon, 12 sausages, six eggs, four slices of black pudding, four slices of bread and butter, four slices of toast, four slices of fried bread, two hash browns, and eight-egg cheese and potato omelette, sauteed potatoes, fried mushrooms, beans and tomatoes.
There are rumours that Satellite TV sensation Man vs Food’s Adam Richman is among those who are lining up to give the world-beating heart attack on a plate a try.
The breakfast could be the world’s largest – the official record holder, Mario’s Cafe Bar in Bolton, served a breakfast weighing 6lb 7oz, and Mr Smith is hopeful that Guinness World Records representatives will give the crown to Jester’s Cafe.
