Great Yarmouth’s Bingo Hall on Church Plain looks likely to become a casino, after Palatial Lesisure Ltd applied to Yarmouth Borough Council for its conversion.
The Great Yarmouth Palace was first opened in July 2005 and has long since been enjoyed by bingo players. Yet the site has a large space that is now likely to be shared with a casino.
The application has arisen as licensing laws prohibit a casino operating within a bingo hall, yet do not prohibit a bingo hall within a casino. So a switch around looks to be in order to add to the entertainment of the Great Yarmouth Palace.
Great Yarmouth is well known for its Grosvenor Casino on the front of the seaside town. The popularity of this has surely spurred on the creation of another casino.
